About This Book:
When a woman running from the mob meets a ranger haunted by his past, the Grand Canyon's dangers might be the least of their troubles.
Tech-savvy hacker Nimue Hart has mastered the art of staying invisible, living off-grid in her Airstream and hiding from the Russian mob who want her silenced. But when a rescue mission forces her into the spotlight, her carefully constructed world begins to crumble.
Grand Canyon Backcountry Ranger Liam Kingsley buried his heart in the Swiss Alps a year ago after a tragic climbing accident. Now he keeps tourists safe and his emotions locked away--until a mysterious woman with secrets of her own makes him question everything he thought he knew about safety.
As their worlds collide, Nimue and Liam must navigate more than just the treacherous canyon trails, and their growing trust in each other might be their only lifeline. But when Nimue's past catches up with them at the canyon's edge, Liam faces his worst nightmare all over again--with a woman he can't bear to lose.
Perfect for readers who love romance with a shot of adrenaline, Over the Edge delivers heart-pounding action, breathtaking rescues, and sizzling romance. This romantic suspense will thrill fans of Irene Hannon, Lynette Eason, and Elizabeth Goddard.
MY REVIEW: ★★★★/5
If you’re in the mood for a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat read, Over the Edge definitely delivers. Set against the rugged beauty of the Grand Canyon, this book dropped me straight into danger as Liam, a park ranger, finds himself protecting Nimue, a young woman on the run from the Russian mob. From there, it’s a nonstop race to survive, filled with running, hiding and high-stakes tension.
I loved the unique setting, because it's not one I've read before and I thought it added a fun layer to the suspense. The chemistry between Liam and Nimue kept things engaging and their backstories added depth to the choices they made along the way.
There was plenty of action, daring moments and twists and turns that kept me turning the pages, plus a few teasers that made me curious for what’s coming next (Noah and Meg’s story). The only thing that didn’t fully land for me was the ending because one key moment I expected to see play out happened off page, which didn't feel on par with the tension building up to it. Even so, I enjoyed the resolution and felt the ending was satisfying overall.
With strong pacing, solid characters and Susie May Warren's signature, adventurous feel, this is a fun, suspenseful read I recommend if you’re looking for something exciting and easy to devour!
