My Thoughts:

As huge fans of the Do Great Things for God series, my daughter and I were super excited for Elisabeth Elliotโ€™s story. The wife of martyred missionary Jim Elliot, Elisabeth bravely chose love over fear when she chose to go to, live with and witness to the tribe of people who killed her husband. Her story is one of forgiveness, bravery and incredible faith in God.

My third grader loved this story and has read it several times over the last couple of weeks. Her favorite part is that of little Val and her bare feet. This story is easy to read, inspirational and uplifting with vibrant illustrations, just like others in the series. It reminds readers that God is always with them and that sharing the love of Jesus is important.

As a parent, I find this biography and the others in this series to be of incredible value because I want to surround my daughter with the inspiring stories of courageous men and women who have followed Godโ€™s call on their lives. Not only does she enjoy these stories, but I do too and we love having these books on our shelves!

This beloved series will forever be a favorite in our home. We canโ€™t recommend them enough!
