Road Trip | 9x12 Pocket Page Scrapbook Layout featuring Paislee Press.
Happy Thursday, friends!
I'm playing along with #PocketPageThursday, a blog series by Jessica Upton of Color Cast Designs and Kellie Winnell of Kellie Stamps and Give a Girl a Blog. To find out more information, visit Jessica's blog post here.
Today, I'm sharing a quick layout from my 9x12 annual pocket page album with a spread using some of my January photos. Winter pictures tend to be really bland for me with a lot of contrast. When that happens, I like to mix in a little black and white with small pops of color. Most of you who follow me, know that I like to incorporate elements that match the "theme" of my spread. Therefore I pulled elements and word art from the Road Trip and On the Road sets by Paislee Press. To complete my color palette, I mixed in some 3x4 cards using papers from Felicity Jane, the Goes With Everything and Artiste collections from Paislee Press.

For this layout, I pulled the orange from my husband's shirt and the teal from my winter coat to create a fun, winter spread. For us, this day was all about a road trip. It had recently snowed in our area so we snuck off to the mountains in hopes of a gorgeous winter day and instead found thick fog and layers of ice cascading off the mountain. Even though it wasn't what we hoped for, it was a day well spent together.
