Through Each Tomorrow is another beautiful, immersive addition to Gabrielle Meyer’s Timeless series! If you love historical fiction with a twist, richly drawn characters and stories that explore love, faith, and destiny across time, Through Each Tomorrow is absolutely worth the read.
I was excited to discover Charles from Book 1 and see how he came to choose his path. Told through the alternating perspectives of two siblings, Meyer's narrative weaves between two vastly different eras: the intrigue-filled royal courts of Elizabethan England in 1563 and the emerging, high-society world of 1883 America. Witnessing the characters navigate these two timelines was fascinating, especially as their choices, and their consequences, began to unfold.
What I loved most was the blend of mystery, romance, and tension that Meyer does so well in each of her time-travel stories. The stakes felt personal, the emotional pull was strong, and the pacing kept me eagerly turning pages. The alternating timelines add depth and urgency, and I found myself equally invested in both eras.
One of the biggest joys was the connections to previous books (at least, it was for me!). Seeing familiar characters again, uncovering new backstories and experiencing the addition of male time crossers (and a male POV!) added fresh layers to the story and the series.
Overall, this story is captivating, heartfelt and full of moments that linger long after the final page. I didn’t want it to end and I already can’t wait for what comes next.
