BRAND NEW RELEASE

Inspirational, charming, tender and sweet… The Inn at Walker Beach is a beautiful story about community, forgiveness and love.

Set in the dreamy, ocean-front town of Walker Beach, author Lindsay Harrel brings small-town living to life with her multi-layered characters and a captivating story that holds a lot of heart! Readers will find depth, romance and faith in this truly tender new novel!

A dream years in the making becomes reality with the inaugural meeting of The Barefoot Sisterhood…

Jenna Wakefield has been through a lot in her twenty-seven years—losing her mother, becoming a teen mom, and battling depression, just to name a few. And working a dead-end job, barely paying her bills, and fighting unrequited feelings for her boss aren’t exactly part of the life she always imagined.

With her six children grown and her husband constantly traveling for work, Elise Griffin finds herself utterly without purpose for the first time ever at age sixty-three. But “retirement” isn’t as wonderful as it might sound—it gives her far too much time to think about the affair her husband had a year ago … the one she’s never told anyone about.

When both women are invited into the mysterious Barefoot Sisterhood and asked to help restore an old beachside inn for a good cause, they find themselves supported and encouraged in new and exciting ways. This inspiration leads to dream seeking … and new romance as well.

Discover what happens when women give each other the space to finally dream—and in doing so, make the world a better place.

★★★★ | The Inn at Walker Beach is such a tender and sweet story! I can’t think of two better words to describe this story that warmed my heart and left my soul feeling full and happy.

From the moments that had me chuckling out loud, to the fantastic chemistry and blossoming romance between Jenna and Cameron, this story both delighted and entertained. Lindsay Harrel delivered three dimensional characters that were facing, and struggling through, deep, relatable challenges in their lives. Finding help, and healing, in community and togetherness proved to be just what these women needed.

I found The Inn at Walker Beach to be inspirational, charming and uplifting. As a strongly independent woman, I identified with Jenna but found myself struggling with Elise’s story and choices. However, placed in Elise’s shoes, I’m not certain how I would react to her situation. I feel as if the author worked hard to create characters that readers could relate to while providing readers with a deep, insightful look into the hearts of minds of women who have struggled with depression, infidelity in their marriages and self-esteem issues.

The romance portion of this story was the perfect, lighthearted touch to balance an otherwise emotional story. I found myself smiling often throughout this story. The supporting characters added well to the storyline and Harrel did a lovely job of bringing authentic, small-town life alive within her fictional, beautiful setting of Walker Beach.

I recommend this story to readers who enjoy sweet, clean romances, inspirational stories and uplifting reads.

She noticed something both mundane—expected—and also extraordinary. The plant held up. It didn’t break with the wind’s friction. In fact, it always ended back upright no matter how many times the breeze knocked it sideways. Why? Because it was rooted in the ground, just like Elise was rooted in a truth deeper than herself. Which meant perhaps, it was time to see exactly what Elise Griffin was made of.
