Around Here | My Week in Photos

Each morning after I wake Addie up and let her out of her kennel, we go outside for a bit then I feed her breakfast.  As soon as she's finished eating we promptly return to bed until I have to get up and start getting ready for the day.  These quiet moments in the morning have become my favorite part of the day as I spend time reading through some blogs and planning for my day.

This past Saturday my parents were in town and a few hours after we had an early dinner together, we took them to Seaver's Donuts. A local donut shop in downtown that has been there for years and done incredibly well for themselves.  We had initially stopped in the new Krispy Kreme but after decided we'd rather support our local businesses, we left there and came to Seavers. Needless to say, Mr. E was very happy.

Sunady after church I had a hankering for some Japenese food. There was a little tiny Japanese restaurant near church that we hadn't ever been to so we snuck in there for some hibachi chicken and fried rice.

Over the weekend we talked about how bad our dinner eating habits had been over the winter months... Cold nights had kept us from grilling, eating salads, and making healthy choices.  Thus, we sat down together and made a meal plan for the week then shopped on Sunday afternoon to buy more fresh veggies and produce.  We started the week off with a large salad topped with grilled chicken and came through the week with some very healthy choices. I'm feeling better already, all though I'm pretty sure I went through a detox of some sort for the first few days!

This dog plays really hard some days, but after, she sleeps really hard.

I struggled through the first of this week with a massive headache and fighting exhaustion... On Tuesday afternoon I came home from work and collapsed on the couch. I stayed there until I had no other choice than to go to bed and try to sleep off the migraine.  I think I slept until dinnertime.

On Thursday, I followed along with Rachel and several other ladies on Instagram using the hashtag #dayinthelife. We documented our entire day with photos... Well, I tried. I had noted in my planner that morning and then forgot to take photos until I got to work. While at work, I was busy and didn't get the opportunity to document too much until later that evening.  Story of my life...
