Red White and Blue Invitation to Play
Spark Your Child's Imagination and Creativity With This Fourth of July / Independence Day Collection of Fun!
Get creative and inspire your kids to play with the same toys, in new ways with this fun holiday-themed collection. Keep little hands and minds busy with a wide variety of education and sensory toys, books and crafts using what you have in your own home!
The Independence Day holiday weekend rolled up on me so fast, I had little time to prepare some fun crafts and actives like I normally do. While we had some outdoor activities planned, my husband will be working a good portion of the weekend, so my daughter and I had a few hours at home. I wanted to put something together for her to inspire play so I took a βcollectionβ trip through our playroom and gathered every day items to use just for this patriotic, red white and blue inspired invitation to play for the weekend.
What I love about doing this is that we are using things we already own and love. By color sorting our Duplo Legos and Picasso Tiles which we use daily and putting them in a fun bin or tray, theyβre easily accessible and have a fun new twist!
Another favorite go to I love is finding coloring pages to fit our theme. Crayola never disappoints and always has the most adorable, FREE coloring page printables. Pair that with their washable crayons or markers and you canβt go wrong!

Glowsticks and Play-Doh is another favorite addition. We love glowsticks for nighttime baths, going out to see fireworks, car trips at night and even movie nights! Play-Doh paired with fun rollers and stamps, such as these from Melissa and Doug are a great way to get fun sensory input and independent play.
Lastly, I always love to find a handful of themed books to focus on our βthemeβ. I look through our own home library first but if youβre short on books at home, I highly encourage you to check out your own local library! The librarians are always so helpful in tracking down the perfect books for all ages and often the libraries offer online holds and curbside pickup too, making it quick and easy! Browsing the library with your little if you have time is always loads of fun as well, and itβs COMPLETELY FREE!
