ABOUT THE BOOK:
Before Logan Barnes was hockey’s hottest bad boy, he was my brother’s best friend … and my first crush. Oh, yeah--and the guy who ghosted me and broke my teenage heart.
Now Logan is back in Harvest Hollow, but not willingly. Recovering from an injury (and some bad press), he’s stuck playing for our minor league team.
Which means I’ll be working with him almost daily.
As the hockey team's social media manager, it’s my job to wrangle all the guys into filming TikTok trending videos. But Logan doesn’t want to be wrangled.
Turns out … neither does my heart. Because my old crush never died.
And when Logan becomes my accidental fake boyfriend, those old feelings flare hot enough to melt the ice. But this is all totally one-sided. Totally fake. Isn't it?
No matter what signals he seems to be giving me or how real things start to feel, I know Logan’s not home for good. I survived Logan leaving me once. But this time, I’m not so sure my heart will recover …
Just Don't Fall is a small town, closed door hockey romcom with all the fake dating, brother's best friend vibes. You'll get smoking chemistry and characters to root for but NO spice. (Yes, you read that right--a low spice hockey romance.) Perfect for fans of sports romance who want a less heat.

MY Thoughts:
If you’re looking for the perfect fall read, start right here! I couldn’t get enough of Logan, who really stole this book for me. As the MMC, he is notorious for being a ladies’ man and egotistical maniac, but oh the layers that St. Clair unveils for him! He’s sweet, charming, and winsome. I just adored him. His pining and soft heart were so adorable.
FMC Parker is delightful, just a little on the shy side and so easily embarrassed, it makes this entire story fun. I love her bossy nature at work and enjoyed the subtle hints of unrequited love on her part plus the wholesome ability she had to see through to a person’s heart and find the goodness there. As she had never been kissed, it was rewarding to see her hold strong to her personal convictions.
These two together were a hilarious mix of fake dating, a workplace romance and well, I can’t say more without giving things away and trust me, you don’t want me to do that.
Summary:
A definite, lighthearted must-read with flirty banter, sizzling chemistry, a tiny bit of tension and a good dose of cozy fall vibes that will leave your heart feeling warm and content.
Note: This standalone novel is part of a series presented by various authors and my review reflects this book alone (I’m excited to read other books in this series as well!).
Content + Trigger Notes:
PG rated (non-explicit touches, kissing and making out). Toxic parental relationship (light).

Falling for Your Brother’s Best Friend is a great addition to Emma St. Clair’s beloved Love Cliches series! This recently released novella follows a couple who’s forced into sharing an apartment by a meddlesome brother. As these two, new roommates being living together, feelings grow and hilarity ensues. A definite must-read if you’re looking for a fun, afternoon read that will lift your spirits!
