A ROUND UP OF SUPPLIES, PLANS AND LINKS FOR MY 2016 DECEMBER ALBUM - A HOLIDAY MEMORY KEEPING PROJECT
December 6th, my friends. How is this even possible?! If you're like me you're still trying to regroup after Thanksgiving and you're probably finishing up the last of your Christmas shopping. After all, Christmas is only 19 days away! For me, December just snuck up too fast on me. And, along with December sweeping in, so did a nasty head cold. So while I've been here, huddled under blankets and sipping warm tea, I've also been dreaming of working on my December album.
Last year, I participated in Ali Edward's December Daily project and really fell in love with the idea of documenting this time of year. It seems like the perfect ending to wrap up the year. So while I fully intend on documenting this month again, I won't be doing a daily routine. My schedule simply won't permit. Instead, I'm removing the stress of documenting each day and planning to just document the stories, memories and magic that Christmastime brings. If you're on the fence about doing December Daily, please let me encourage you to try this way instead!
I have collected and gathered supplies from my stash including a Kelly Purkey kit I won on Instagram, mini flair I ordered from Feed Your Craft, and some goodies I bought at Color Cast Designs. I will be creating a 6x8 album using a chipboard binder from Hobby Lobby and incorporating pocket pages with 6x8 scrapbook pages. I'd like to keep it simple and focus on the stories of this month so I'll be using many hybrid pages I've created digitally and printed at home. Some of the digital designs I'll be using will include those from Push Print Studio, One Little Bird, and Paislee Press.
I am so excited to move forward with this project when I feel a little bit better. Currently, I have photos on order from Mpix and I've created my title page which I'm hoping to photograph and share soon. I'd love to hear what your December plans are and answer any questiions you may have in the comments below. Happy December!
