While I'm a firm believer that you should love, cherish, and spoil your special someone every day of the year, I'm also a sucker for a day dedicated to romance and hearts… So, off I go, in search of Valentine’s Day inspiration that won’t break the bank but is different and fun, just the same.
Pinterest always shows up for me in a pinch! I found this super adorable, printable Stud Muffin tag from Eighteen25 and could not resist making some homemade muffins with a sugar streusel topping for breakfast to surprise my hubs who’s been working 70 hour weeks lately! Let’s face it, throwing together a premixed package of muffins (just add water!) is simple enough so I couldn’t resist adding a crumble topping that makes those muffins just that much better.

3 Ingredient Crumble Muffin Topping
Also known as a sugar streusel topping…
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated brown sugar
6 Tablespoons salted butter (melted)
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the flour, sugar and melted butter in a bowl. Combine the mixture with a spoon until it has formed crumbs.
Spread across the prepared, but not yet baked muffins using a spoon. Bake muffins according to muffin recipe or box.
