With a little one, there are always necessities that one MUST BRING with them. In my diaper bag, I have all the essentials I need to survive a day away from home with my little girl. Lately, I’ve been bringing my Happy Album with me. I simply slip my printed photos, pen, tape runner and little embellishments into the zippered travel case and I’m ready to go! I can scrapbook or journal while we wait for an oil change or at the doctor’s office. It’s the perfect accessory to help me keep my little girl’s life documented and it tucks easily into my bag.
This month in my Happy album, I created two spreads that I’m absolutely in love with. For my first spread, I simply backed my square Mpix prints using papers from Kits 2 and 4. Then, I adhered them into my album using my favorite tape runner from Creative Memories and topped the page off with little notes and stickers from Kit 1.
Creative Tip: Make your stickers “pop” off the page by using tiny foam squares behind the embellishment for a fun, eye catching look!
For my second spread, I again used the “note” method - journaling simple little thoughts around my photos. I have found that this is perhaps my favorite way to document those little moments without putting too much time or thought into what I need to write. Sometimes, simple and done is best! I used a photo mat from Kit 2 and stickers from Kit 3 to complete this page.
Two things that I’m currently loving about my Happy Album:
Each page in the album already has a background design. The designs are adorable, subtle and easy to add journaling to.
The colors in the album and corresponding kits match! They look great together and it’s easy to mix and match embellishments and papers between kits.
