For the last four years, my Saturday morning routine is to thoroughly clean the house. We do clean often through the week but when I want a good top to bottom cleaning, I like to do it on the weekends so I can have a couple of hours to focus on it.  I usually start with dusting, doing the ceiling fans first and working my way down the baseboards. Then I vacuum. If Ethan is home, he helps me by moving all the furniture and letting me vacuum behind and under every piece that collects dust and dog hair.  Because we clean like this, it really helps my allergy problems.

When we first got Addie, I taught her to follow me closely so she'd go with me wherever I went. I'd show her things as I opened them and let her peek into the closets and behind doors.  Now, when I vacuum, she stays very close.  Sometimes, too close.  I have now started a system of allowing her into the room I'm vacuuming in and designating a place for her to "sit" while I vacuum so she's not constantly underfoot. It works out pretty well. Often times, she moves into the next room before I get there and is waiting patiently at her designated "spot" for me to come clean.  I guess you can see she's learned the "routine".

Stay tuned, I'm certain you'll see this show up in my Project Life album soon!
