Clean, Simple Photobook Idea | Home Scrapbook for Love Where You Live Class
"This little house has been the perfect first home for us. We love the area we live in, we have great neighbors, enjoy the park, and have learned a lot about owning a home. Making a house a home is always an ongoing, never ending project... I’m happy to have done so much of the work ourselves, along with help from our family and neighbors. It gives a sense of pride and is a welcoming place to come home to each evening. We cherish the memories that are made here and the friends we are able to welcome through the front door. We are thankful for the traditions we’ve begun in this home and for the blessings God’s given us while living here. We eagerly look forward to the time we get to spend here in the future." - Excerpt

Above is part of the five page Google document I wrote out recently about the story of our home and where we live. I'm currently participating in a class called Love Where You Live and really enjoying the inspiration there. I feel so led to do document our home and the memories we share inside those walls.
Today I'm sharing the first few pages of my album. I decided to do a digital 8x6 album with horizontal pages. I chose very simple elements and lots of white space. I plan to print the album in a softcover book via Artifact Uprising when it is complete.
I did a quick photography tour of our home using my Nikon DSLR because I wanted high quality photographs in good light. But, in addition, I've selected and matched in some iPhone snapshots from this year of us enjoying each of the spaces.
I went room by room and wrote out notes to copy/paste into my album. I wanted to share particulars about the spaces, things we've changed, added, built, and enjoy. I also noted specific memories about each space, like how we enjoy watching the deer in the backyard via the kitchen window and how Addie stands in the kitchen watching us prepare meals.
I am so excited to share more of my album soon. At this time however, I've been a little preoccupied with the new fall sticker release and the Love Lives Here sticker release (as well as the fact that this very weekend we tore down our old back deck and are constructing a new one, ourselves!)
